People with very traumatic personal histories or severe emotional vulnerabilities may find it best to seek expert support when first learning to practice hypnosis and self-hypnosis, however, they can benefit from using the information given in this presentation.

Caution and expert guidance are also strongly recommended in the cases of epilepsy or psychosis and in substance-induced altered states of consciousness. In these cases, it is recommended that a medical or other appropriate practitioner is consulted for guidance.

Hypnosis and self-hypnosis should never be practice when driving or doing any other activity that requires your conscious attention or control. While you’re listening to the hypnosis part, your relaxed attention is required so, for your safety, please make sure you’re not doing anything else. While you’re listening, if your attention is needed elsewhere, for any reason, you open your eyes and are fully aware and active immediately.
